Job Description

Responsibilities:

Contracts & General Services

Liaise with external contractors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality control of services provided.

Coordinate with the HSE Lead to ensure that the services provided are of a satisfactory standard, and that all School’s general services are carried out in accordance with Safety guidelines and procedures.

Following up with the contractors on service delivery.

Organize the set up and take down of equipment required by the school for activities or events.

Ensure the operational efficiency of contracted support services i.e. security, cleaning staff & any other contracted staff.  Asset Management

Support with the process of registering the log of assets and maintain an accurate up-to-date asset register for all school facilities and equipment.

Coordinate the acquisition, movement, deployment, and disposal of assets and maintain a tracking registry.

Maintain an inventory of all facility assets and ensure they are in good working condition. 

Required Skills

A minimum 3 years of experience in a role of facility management.

Familiarity with UAE Ministry regulations (i.e., ADEK, Civil Defense, DoH) related to building safety, hygiene, and security.

Working knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Knowledge of best practices for asset management and optimization.

Knowledge of contract/vendor management and negotiation in a facilities context.

Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Certificate or documented training for local regulatory systems, such as ADEK guidelines or Civil Defense requirements.

Professional certification in Facility Management (i.e. IFMA’s FMP -Facility Management Professional), IWFM Level 4/5 (Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management)). 

Certified Facility Manager.

Project Management certifications (i.e., PMP, PRINCE2) for handling renovation and upgrade projects.
